As of 2021, Life Time Athletic Events has offered a nonbinary category in their 30+ endurance events around the country. Reporting on this evolution in the endurance sports world, The Washington Post asked me to chase athlete Rach McBride around Leadville, Colorado as they competed in the final stage of the Leadville 100 Stages Mountain Bike race.
